A Modern Approach to a Classic Component

The Humbucker Bobbin, Revisited

The humbucker bobbin has remained largely unchanged since its introduction in the 1950s. While magnets, wire, winding patterns, and even pickup geometries have evolved, the bobbin itself has often been treated as an afterthought—produced using legacy tooling and outdated plastics.

At Rockin’ Replicas®, we see the bobbin as a precision component, not just a spacer for wire.

Our Made in USA bobbins are designed to:

• Maintain compatibility with traditional humbucker architectures

• Support consistent winding and coil geometry

• Meet modern expectations for repeatability and material quality

Injection Molding Strategy

Tooling, Testing, and U.S. Production

To ensure dimensional accuracy and long-term mold durability, our humbucker bobbin tooling is being engineered and tested in Pakistan (PK)—a region with deep expertise in precision mold fabrication.

Once validation and testing are complete:

• The mold will be shipped to the United States

• Production will be run domestically

• Bobbins will be injection molded in the USA

This hybrid approach allows us to:

• Control upfront tooling quality

• Reduce development risk

• Transition finished production fully to U.S. manufacturing

The final product—bobbins used by builders—will be Made in USA.
